MUSEUM OF DIGITAL ART
In September 2022, the presentation of the DIGITAL ART MUSEUM project took place at the EAF Club (UK). Author and project manager - Rinat Kuramshin (British and Russian artist, ethnographer, specialist in museum affairs and administration; Honorary member of the RAA). Members of the EAF Club, art collectors, exhibition curators, art dealers, owners of galleries, directors of exhibition and cultural centers showed great interest in the project.
Interest in such projects is associated with the "digitalization" of many areas of Art and Culture. In the near future, many institutions will undoubtedly try to find their place in the virtual art space. This applies equally to state museums and private galleries, companies and organizations.
DIGITAL ART MUSEUM is a conceptual British-Turkish project, which is a set of digital programs for museums, galleries, exhibition and cultural centers. The project is designed to introduce modern digital technologies into traditional museum and exhibition programs. Also, the project may be of interest to various companies in the field of design, ethnography, fashion, etc. Any institution can use the programs of the Museum of Digital Art to organize their events. The program can be used both during one event (exhibitions, presentations, etc.), and later for several events.
Digitalization in museum and exhibition activities
The programs of the Digital Art Museum allow more active use of modern digital technologies in museum and exhibition activities. The Project's programs add new vivid emotions to traditional exhibitions, and also help to discover (master) new forms of contemporary art demonstration in museums, galleries, exhibition and cultural centers.
Currently, many museums are developing digital applications for their products and services to keep up with the times and launch new solutions. These applications include on-line exhibitions, expanded displays of art collections, new research processes in museums. Digital technologies greatly simplify and facilitate the process of "exchange" of exhibitions between museums. Exhibitions of masterpieces from the largest museums in the world (British Museum, Louvre, Prado, Hermitage, etc.) are now available for display in small museums, galleries, cultural centers. To organize a virtual exhibition, you do not need expensive insurance of museum items, special transportation, security, compliance with temperature and humidity conditions during the exhibition, and many other precautions that are necessary when organizing a traditional exhibition. Moreover, the virtual exhibition is filled with elements of visual 3D effects and may include biographies of artists, stories of masterpiece creation, and many other details that allow the viewer to fully immerse themselves in a particular era of Art History.
The Digital Art Museum plans to collaborate with the International Council of Museums (ICOM) to connect to international museum programs. More and more museums are using virtual reality in their programs. Modern digital technologies help to realize one of the main tasks of the Museum - to build a bridge between the cultures of different countries. As part of the International Museum Programs, the Digital Art Museum will develop social and cultural projects for people of all ages, including entertainment and educational programs. Educational museum programs, thanks to 3D technologies, make any lesson a bright and unforgettable process. It is equally exciting for both children and adults. Museum digital products and services are becoming increasingly popular among visitors.
Through collaboration with other museums, the Digital Art Museum can showcase an incredible amount of content to viewers.
Digitalization of art collecting
The Digital Art Museum invites private art collectors, gallery owners, directors of cultural centers, art dealers to take part in museum exhibitions and projects. This is a good opportunity to present your art to the international community through experimental, digital and traditional projects.
Participation in the Digital Art Museum Programs will help creators and art owners to promote and integrate their art into the cultural space of the UK, Turkey and other countries. Collections of traditional art can be "digitized", i.e. virtual copies of art objects will be made for demonstration in the Art Space. The program will allow participants to establish contacts with museum workers, exhibition curators, art dealers, IT specialists, and other art experts. Exhibitions and events of the Program allow you to present your products and services to a wide audience of art lovers. Millions of people in different countries will see your art through the digital programs of the Project.
Many museums are starting to release NFT art objects from their museum collections. While the releases of these art objects are very limited, the Digital Art Museum can be a place where art collectors can buy, sell, or trade NFT art from the museum's collections. The constant communication of museums through organizations such as the International Council of Museums (ICOM) allows the Digital Art Museum to receive up-to-date and reliable information about new museum exhibitions and projects, including the release (issue) of museum NFT art objects.
The Digital Art Museum plans to cooperate with patrons, sponsors, public and private foundations, and other institutions that support projects in the field of Art. The joint efforts of different institutions make it possible to create digital programs that will be of interest to art lovers in different countries.
