Yuri Shevyakov was born in 1955 - is a sculptor, a medallist, an artist of the decorative and applied arts.

Member of the National Union Ukraine Artists and the International Federation of Art Medals FIDEM, since 2009 year, is the delegate of F. I. D. E. M. in Ukraine. The main activity directions are: Design and production of copper art plaques, medals (portrait, table, etc.), representative badges, dishes (teapots, Turks), sculptures of small forms, church utensils, bells.

 

Participation in exhibitions: In 1987, the I-st Republican Exhibition of Medal Art in St. Petersburg. From 2004 to 2020. 

International Medal art exhibitions FIDEM in Seixal (Portugal), Colorado Springs (USA), Tampere (Finland), Glasgow (Scotland), Sofia (Bulgaria), Namur and Ghent (Belgium), Ottawa (Canada), Tokyo (Japan). In 2005 and 2008.- IV and V International Biennale of Medal Art in Seixal  (Portugal), 2005 and 2011 - All-Ukrainian Sculpture Triennale in Kiev. 2017 - International Medal project IDENTITY Torun, Poland. The name is included to the catalog «Personality of the Third millennium. National leaders of Ukraine». It is included to the catalog «Art Olympus of Ukraine».

 

The works of Yuri Shevyakov are in the Shevchenko National Reserve Tarasova Gora (Kanev, Ukraine), the Museum of the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour (Moscow, Russia), the Simferopol Art Museum (Republic of Crimea), the Kuindzhi Museum (Mariupol, Ukraine), the Donetsk Art Museum, as well as in private collections in more than 10 countries.
